WHAT WE DO

— Youth Gang Mentorship Program

Feeling like there are countless pressing issues that no single program could make a marked difference? Our Local Empowerment initiative has proven to be a powerful tool for ITY,  to successfully serve our community and improve countless lives. This Mentorship program is designed to help individuals who are returning citizens or have legal issues become more accountable for their actions in society. By providing these individuals with opportunities to be trained, certified and have job placement as Gang Mentors in the city of Boston. This Gang Mentorship program provides returning citizens an opportunity to give back to their community in a positive and meaningful way. By providing mentorship to younger adults and youths who find themselves living a gang life style.

— Organic Agriculture Program

Organic Agriculture Programs are critical in supporting the transition to sustainable farming, improving food security, reducing the carbon footprint of agriculture, and protecting biodiversity. They aim to create a food system that is both economically viable for farmers and environmentally responsible.

Program

Re-entry programs play a critical role in reducing recidivism by addressing the root causes that lead individuals to re-offend, such as lack of opportunity, unstable environments, or untreated mental health conditions. Successful reintegration reduces the strain on the criminal justice system and creates safer communities.

— Youth Human Trafficking Awareness Program

As we express the need for more male advocates in domestic violence. We also find it impareritive to acknowledge the use of human trafficking in the area. The constant use of young inexperienced women who are severely abused verbally, mentally and physically has been a pressing issue for many years now in the commonwealth of Massachusetts. So to help combat the atrocities faced by victims of sex trafficking. We gladly partner with other organizations who already have a track record in advocating for Human Trafficking Awareness. In partnership with the Louis D. Brown Peace Institution.

In a world that often tries to diminish the importance of our cultural identities, it is crucial for young women to embrace and celebrate their heritage. Our culture is what makes us unique and special, and it is something that should be cherished and preserved. By embracing our culture, we can strengthen our sense of self and build confidence in who we are as individuals.

— ITF-Inspiring Today's Fathers

Bringing men together to share their experiences and wisdom in support of fatherhood. Helping men to accept responsibility for their lack of participation in their child’s life. 
 
Participation in workshops that inspire returning citizens and young adults to further their education and improve living conditions through values of family orientation.

— ITY's Tech Goes Home Program

ITY’s Tech Goes Home program serves people of all ages, with courses geared towards our youth, families, adults,  and more. We bring computers, internet, and training to families and individuals throughout the greater Boston area so our youth can do homework, adults can find jobs & manage finances, so all can lead better lives.  

We offer programs for adults, as well as family-based intergenerational programs. ITY’s family-based programs engage youth and their caregivers together to learn digital skills as a team. Each family or individual who participates in our programs completes 15 hours of interactive, culturally-responsive digital skills training, earning a Chromebook or iPad, and, if needed, 12 months of internet services.

— Music 4 Kids Worldwide

In partnership with Tony Wilson & Music 4 Kids Worldwide, our program can have a significant impact on our local youth in our communities giving our youth a creative outlet and a way to express themselves.
 
By introducing kids to music, it fosters collaboration, enhances cognitive development, and promotes emotional well-being. The goal is to create lasting change through music, using it as a bridge to empower future generations.
